History
Friends Day Care opened in 1971 as a parent co-operative. It was incorporated in 1991 and has since operated as a not-for-profit centre, licensed by the Ministry of Education. Our volunteer Board of Directors consists of parents and other individuals from the community. Friends Day Care is also a registered charity.

Ages we care for

We accept children from 2.5 to 5 years of age, although our licence does allow for three children who are between 24months and 30months.

Staff
Warm and caring staff is a priority at Friends Day Care. Lorna Meggitt, RECE. is the centre Supervisor, and the team includes Rudy Luft RECE as Assistant Supervisor & Mary Lakatos RECE. Every full-time staff member receives annual CPR training and maintains First-Aid certification.
